In Memory of Haneen Abdussamad
A young life remembered through meaningful action
Haneen Abdussamad was a bright, compassionate and talented 15-year-old who left this world far too soon.
Riyadh
The son of Adv. P.K. Habeeb Rahman and Dr. Shayeen Kalathil, Haneen was a student at New Middle East International School, Riyadh.
Class 10
Having recently completed his CBSE Class 10 examinations with 96.2%, he had begun his journey into higher secondary education with dreams and aspirations ahead of him.
His world
Haneen loved football, reading English books and learning. He had a special connection with the Qur'an, memorising numerous Surahs and beautifully reciting them. Within his family, he would often lead the prayers.
April 2026
In April 2026, Haneen suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at his home in Riyadh. Despite intensive medical care, he was diagnosed with brain death and passed away on April 28, 2026.

He was laid to rest in Naseem, Riyadh.
His life was short, but the impact of his memory does not have to be.
From grief to purpose
Haneen Foundation was born from the family's desire to transform the profound pain of his loss into something beneficial for others.
Rather than allowing grief to remain only a memory, the family chose to channel it into education, compassion, service and positive social action.
Every initiative undertaken in Haneen's name is an effort to keep that spirit of goodness alive.

Our First Initiative
Drinking Water Project
Bringing a basic necessity closer to communities in need.
Haneen Foundation's first project is a drinking water initiative in Belagavi, Karnataka, undertaken in collaboration with another family and local partners.
The project aims to support a community facing water scarcity by helping provide access to drinking water.
For us, this is more than a project. It is the kind of work we hope to continue: identifying genuine needs and joining hands with others to create practical solutions.
